Adebayo Ayantoye (Distribution Manager)

Adebayo has over 18 years post-graduate experience in shipping, supply & distribution, logistics in the oil and gas industry. A graduate of Ondo State University (1991) where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Geography/Ed. Adebayo also holds a Masters degree in Geography, specializing in Transport and a post-graduate diploma in shipping and port management both from University of Lagos. He is a Member of the Nigeria Chartered Institute of Management.

Adebayo started his career with John Holt Shipping Services where he also contributed to the growth of the sector as the Treasurer of the Shipping/Freight Forwarders sector of the Lagos chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In 2002, he joined National Oil and Chemicals Marketing Company (NOLCHEM) as the Import Coordinator. (CONOIL PLC later took over NOLCHEM as the core investor). There, he had the responsibility of providing leadership for a new team in the import procurement department, and ensuring hitch-free operations, as well as providing cost effective strategies for optimal maximization of the company`s profitability. He obtained a Bonafide Manufacturers Certificate (BMC) which benefited the company in duty waivers & better return on investment which impacted greatly on the company bottom line.

After a meritorious service which spanned 8 years, he joined Capital Oil Plc as Head of Imports, where he worked briefly before joining SPOG Petrochemicals. Adebayo is well rounded in supply & distribution, shipping, procurement, international product sourcing, management skills & logistics.
